Prof. Xu Zhou graduated and got his bachelor degree in Basic Mathematics and a professional degree in Fuzzy Topology and Artificial Intelligence from the College of Mathematics, Sichuan University, and then got his doctor degree in Computer Science from the College of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.

Prof. Xu Zhou is currently Director of Advanced Network Technology and Application Department of the Computer Network Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also served as a member of the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee, a member of the Big Data Expert Committee in China Computer Federation, a member of the Society's Social Media Processing Committee in Chinese Information Processing Society of China, a senior member of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and a visiting professor at the College of Computer Science of Sichuan University. Prof. Xu Zhou is a science and technology expert of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and the State Grain Bureau.

Prof. Zhou's main research areas are future networks, 5G mobile networks, big data technologies, etc. He has more than 10 years of research on Internet technology and distributed computing technology, and a deep understanding and research experience in various aspects especially in 4G/5G mobile network technology, SDN, ICN, and the Internet information dissemination model.
